FAQs
What is a sidecar motorcycle?
A sidecar motorcycle is essentially a motorcycle that has a sidecar attached to it. This three-wheeled vehicle allows for more people to be transported compared to a traditional two-wheeled motorcycle. Additionally, it has the potential to create new friendships with strangers at every stop.
Is it safe?
Our vehicle, equipped with three wheels, operates more similarly to a car than a motorcycle due to its lack of leaning in corners. Our state-of-the-art rig boasts industry-leading features and can accommodate up to three passengers. The sidecar can hold two passengers, while the third can sit comfortably behind the rider/guide. Simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!
Is it scary?
Our tours are not scary, but rather exhilarating and exciting! We maintain a comfortable pace of 25 miles per hour, which is slow enough to fully appreciate the beautiful sights while also fast enough to feel the wind in your hair and enjoy the thrill of motorcycling. You can rest assured that our guides are skilled motorcyclists who prioritize your safety above all else.
Can I bring my dog?
For safety reasons, pets are not permitted in the open sidecar.
What if it rains?
It is important for you to check the weather report the day prior to your tour. If there is a 50% chance of rain, snow, hail, etc., we will reschedule your tour. Customers must contact our customer service team to reschedule their tours. If there is a 50% or less chance of possible weather issues, we will give you the opportunity to reschedule your tour with 24-hour advance notice. Tours that are rescheduled with less than 24 hours advance notice will be charged a $50 dollar rescheduling fee.
What should I bring?
Your tour includes a helmet, googles and bottled water. We recommend dressing appropriately for the weather, especially on chilly days when it’s best to wear layers and bring a jacket. How big is the sidecar? Our sidecar comfortably seats 2 guests in the sidecar and one guest behind the Guide/Driver.
Do you accommodate larger groups?
As we grow, at the moment we can accommodate a group of 6 which would be split between two rigs – 3 passengers in each. Please call to reserve well in advance to ensure availability.
Are there age restrictions?
In California, there are no age limitations for motorcycle passengers. However, only those who can reach the foot-pegs will be permitted to sit behind the driver. Any passenger under the age of 18 must provide a signed consent form from a parent or legal guardian. Additionally, children under the age of 8 are not permitted to participate in our tours.
What’s the deal with insurance?
Our team of guides consists of skilled and enthusiastic motorcyclists who prioritize your safety above all else. We ensure the maintenance of our equipment to the highest standard, and personal liability insurance coverage is provided for all riders. Our routes are carefully planned to avoid busy streets and instead follow peaceful, low traffic side streets, with a cruising speed of approximately 25 MPH. Our commitment to maintaining a flawless safety record motivates us to work hard every day.
Can I drive the rig?
We are sorry to inform you that only our experienced guides are allowed to drive the sidecar. We want you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
